PhotoVCarve software has been developed to allow CNC machines to engrave things that are only possible through expensive laser systems. PhotoVCarve directly converts your images into quality toolpaths that can be used on all CNC and engraving machines. Converting images to files used for CNC devices has always been a challenge in this area, and although there are many software products that seem to do it right, most of them do not work as they should. PhotoVCarve is also suitable for machining 3D lithophones and converting them directly into images. These designs are perfect for gift, memorabilia and memoir. PhotoVCarve offers you numerous opportunities that can be used by most CNC devices.
This program allows you to machine images using CNC machines in three different ways. The first is V-Groove Machining, which transmits different image details using slots of varying width and depth. The ultimate quality of this method is highly dependent on the surface of the material being engraved and the grooves created. Darker areas indicate groove compaction and lighter areas indicate thinner grooves and lower density. The next method is to use three-dimensional lithophanes. Lithophones are 3D images that are a bit dull and lifeless when viewed in low light, but when they are 3D rendered, image details are displayed and transformed into something quite different. The next method is a black and white 3D machine that directly converts black and white images into 3D maps of height and depth.
